Desde la madrugada del 23 de octubre, miles de fans waited at the corner of Coronel Díaz and Santa Fe, in Palermo, to celebrate the 75th birthday of Carlos Alberto García Moreno. The musician appeared on the balcony of his building to thank the fans, while colleagues from different stages of his career sent messages, photos, and performances.

The celebration had a strong musical component. Colombian singer Carlos Vives, who identified García as a central influence on his own artistic career, performed "El fantasma de Canterville" during a special program on Mega 98.3. The broadcast also recalled the figure of guitarist García López.

Lali Espósito posted a black-and-white photograph from García's early years and wrote "Amor total". Moria Casán recalled that García had invited her to the celebrations through someone close to him, although she could not attend. She described him as "un prócer de la música" and recounted a Christmas party organized by Fito Páez and García after her return from nine days detained in Paraguay.

“Por no tener miedo. Fito Páez thanked García in the early hours of the day for that quality, in reference to the way the musician traversed decades of Argentine history through his songs.”Fito Páez

Photographers also joined the tributes. Andy Cherniavsky published an image with García and wrote: "Hoy cumple el más grande, el que nos cuenta nuestra propia historia". Nora Lezano shared four photographs, ranging from a 1999 show to a 2025 encounter, and thanked "la vida que me dio a Charly".

  • Fans gathered before dawn with flowers, posters, ribbons, and songs.
  • García appeared on the balcony to acknowledge the tribute.
  • Carlos Vives performed "El fantasma de Canterville" on Mega 98.3.
  • Lali Espósito, Moria Casán, Fito Páez, Andy Cherniavsky, and Nora Lezano joined the tribute.

The next harvest will be marked by the arrival of new tributes and the consolidation of García's figure across generations. The songs, performances, and messages published for this birthday show which references and public affection will continue to accompany the musician's new stage.
